This is the official Rajiv Super Bowl Party announcement. It’s going not just to my weekly “football list” but also to other friends who may otherwise not have much of an interest in Vikings games. As usual, you don’t have to be a football fan to come for the Super Bowl party as the commercials are usually as interesting as the game and most of us don’t care about wither of these two teams anyway. Come over as an excuse to hang out again and drink some beer or wine. Families and friends are also invited for this, but let me know how many of you will be coming. Kids can watch a movie or something downstairs if you feel like bringing them.
Here we are all excited about the last NFL game of the season. The cool thing about this year’s game is that this is the last Super Bowl in a while that will not have the Vikings representing the NFC!
Yes, this is also the time when we go through the annual rite of being unrealistically optimistic about next season. But, despite decades of disappointment, I am still excited about next year. Why? BILL MUSGRAVE IS GONE! YAY! (I had this same optimism when Brad Childress left, and look what happened with that).
I will be rooting for the Seahawks simply because I went to school at Washington State University and feel some more connection to them than I do to the Broncos.
